Our story

Coptic heritage dates back to the final stage of the Ancient Egyptian civilization, and has survived over 2,000 years until this very day.  As such, it has a vast amount of history and tradition that has prevailed through difficult times of war, social challenges and ever-increasing materialism.
However, over recent years and with the advent of social media, technological advances and globalisation, young Copts living in Egypt and abroad are experiencing an identity conflict as they try to find relevance and belonging in the 21st century.
Coptopia aims to bridge the identity gap, preserving the values, the cherished teachings and culture of our Coptic origin, by creating a media platform that offers a combination of social, practical, spiritual and other topical content and interactions that are relevant, compelling and empowering to the members of our community and their interests.
